Do you remember about KBTU? It’s my university, if you forgot)

Architecture is so beautiful, isn’t it? Yes, it is the best university: the exterior and enterior is good, also education is at the summit level.

I study in Faculty of Energy and Oil-Gas industry. I thought for a very long time about my profession. I can say that I found my appropriate profession and university, because I can’t imagine myself in other direction. About university: it’s the best university in Kazakhstan in technical orientation.

The Mission of the my Faculty is a complex training of students for high-tech and knowledge-intensive productions in oil and gas industry and geology meeting the requirements of a contemporary market and international standards and aimed at student-oriented training: expansion of students’ opportunities, development of students’ intellectual and creative potential, critical thinking, responsibility of students, shift of emphasis in educational process for vigorous educational activity, interdependence between the teacher and the student, and innovative teaching methods in training. The main focus of the Faculty is directed to a high quality of training as the main result of an educational process.

Objectives
• To continuously work on the achievement of high-quality training of highly qualified specialists, bachelors, master and doctoral students in petroleum and geological specialties that meet requirements of employers, based on the introduction of modern educational technologies and continuous improvement of educational and methodological activities of teaching staff of the Faculty;
• To ensure competitiveness of the faculty graduates in the global market of educational services and recruitment market of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• To provide research activity growth of the Faculty teaching staff with the purpose of education integration, science and industry;
• To implement fundamental and applied research mutually with educational process;
• To integrate into the world educational process through the establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation with leading universities in order to conduct joint activities aimed for improving training quality of geology and petroleum industry specialists;
• To expand relations with enterprises-employers to organize industrial internship of students and subsequent employment of graduates; • To implement fundamental and applied research mutually with educational process;
• To integrate into the world educational process through the establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation with leading universities in order to conduct joint activities aimed for improving training quality of geology and petroleum industry specialists;
• To expand relations with enterprises-employers to organize industrial internship of students and subsequent employment of graduates;
• To implement training of specialists harmoniously combining fundamental technical knowledge with high morals, spirituality and patriotism;
• To continuously develop the most effective forms and methods of training;
• To improve management of the Faculty work organization.

20% of our faculty’s teachers are foreign specialists, so we know 3 languages: kazakh, russian and english.
The Faculty of Energy and Oil and Gas industry is a foreground faculty of KBTU because of its affiliated status with KazMunaiGas , and also its close relation with other companies of the oil and gas sector, which are partners of KBTU. They provide the university with technological, scientific, financial and other resources that promote the high quality of educational programs at KBTU, in the oil and gas business.

We have organization KBTU SPE SC forstudents, who studies in Faculty of oil and gas industry. It was established in 2003. Let’s talk about it!

KBTU SPE SC (Society of Petroleum Engineers Student Chapter) is an international scientific student organization that deals with intellectual projects in the oil and gas industry. SPE mission: Collection, dissemination and exchange of technical information in the field of exploration, development and exploitation of oil and gas fields, and other resources for the common good. Providing specialists with the opportunity to improve their professional skills and knowledge. Members of the organization conduct and attend lectures on this subject, organize scientific events such as «SPE Intellectual Petroleum Games», «Scientific Olympiads in the oil and gas sector» and conferences.

I so love this faculty and this university, because I believe in my future! After graduate I want to work in Karachaganak. This place is close to Uralsk(my hometown). I assure I will work in this place)
